How to save Internet data in Nigeria.
Saturday 9 December 2017
Have you heard of Google latest app that's been designed for mostly Nigerian internet users in through "the next billion user" project.
Juliet Ehimuan-Chiazor (Google country director) who introduced the app in Lagos State, explained that the app will aid smartphone users in understanding, saving, controlling and managing their mobile data.
The app which has undergone full scale testing in the Philippines has these outstanding features, Data saver, Data saver bubble, Personalized alerts and Wi-Fi finder.
Results from the ground testing pointed out that the major encumbrance militating against the usage of smartphone in the country is the rate of data usage and the price, the app is to save up to 30% of data for the users.
Naturally, this is going to be a slight on the Nigerian Network Providers who have over time exploited the rich internet market for their gains as they are likely to lose gains.
