Uber Partners With NASA To Build Flying Taxis That Will Hit The Skies In 2020

Thursday 9 November 2017

Uber partnered with NASA to create Uber Air, a flying taxi service that will hit the skies in 2020. The vehicle will need to take off and land vertically, while operating safely while flying at a low altitude.
“UberAir will be performing far more flights on a daily basis than it has ever been done before. Doing this safely and efficiently is going to require a foundational change in airspace management technologies,” said Uber chief product officer, Jeff Holden. How much is a trip going to cost? Approximately what you’d pay for an UberX ride.
