- Gambling makes people lazy: This is because the urge to indulge in gambling is birthed by the need to 'get rich quick ' which has always been associated with persons who are not willing to work, do not believe in hard work, lack tangible ideas on how to generate income and can not utilize resources.
- Gambling makes one short sighted: People who have at one time won money from gambling tend to misuse money. They always see it that they will keep winning so they do not invest the money won. It is not surprising to see a man who won millions from gambling and got off the street for sometime, to be back in the street after squandering his fortune; reason being that he had lacked business ideas and when he got his fortune, did not seek out people knowledgeable in that area due to arrogance and the need to meet up with the trending life style.
- Gambling incites short temper and aggression: Nobody likes losing money whether planned or accidentally, it is human nature to gather unto himself. Emotions are heightened when you either win or lose; you get super happy when you win, where as on the other hand you get depressed and aggressive when you lose. You and your love ones suffer when you are depressed and easily get angry at the slightest provocation.
- Gambling rises blood pressure and encourages other ailments: Doctors will always advice against doing things that trigger also killer like diabetes, High BP etc... Guess what, gambling is a sure way to get yourself in shock and waking your health.
- Gambling helps you destroy the little you have: Little cash put in wasted gamblings when put together can worth more than what you use for personal up keep. Gradually you begin to sell your valuables, borrow money and in extreme cases steal. Truly this is why the Holy Bible discourages us from gambling. It drags one into unconsciousness in the spirit due to worry, anxiety and anger.
Stay away from gambling; if you must gamble, gamble wisely!
