Black Friday In NIgeria Is a Scam

Monday, 28 November 2016

Black Friday is that day when you are supposed to get stuffs for ridiculously cheap prices. It’s the day when shopping malls are overcrowded and everyone wants to take advantage of the huge discount. As it was celebrated all over the world yesterday, a lot of Nigerians hold a totally different view about this “special” day.
Online shipping malls have already sensitized customers through series of ads and bloggers running affiliate programs with these companies too did a great job promoting Black Friday deals. Last year, a certain e-commerce website was said to only flash deals and immediately take them off claiming the goods were out of stock.
Vendors on these platforms too are guilty of ridiculously raising the prices of their products only to give a discounts on Black Friday that makes the price still nothing out of ordinary. Many people are beginning to see beyond the “discounted” Black Fridy deals and social media reactions continue to trail this year’s Black Friday.
Did you partake in this year’s Black Friday? Do you have the same view as these? Tell us your experience.
